Emmy Nadav, CPM, LM

Emmy Nadav and Tessa Landreau-Grasmuck founded Threshold Community Midwives in 2022, a home birth midwifery practice based in Central Vermont. They offer holistic, grounded, personalized and empowering reproductive / generative healthcare for all genders and families. They believe that all people should have access to a generous, loving, autonomous, and dignified entrance into the world and transformation within it. They are dedicated to building trusting relationships and treating you with compassion and dignity. They honor the body’s inherent power and wisdom to make through life’s transformations and cross through the thresholds.

Emmy fell in love with the raw and sacred experience of birth after witnessing her sister-in-law's home birth in 2016. She began attending births as a doula soon after and graduated from Birthwise Midwifery School in 2021. During her midwifery training, she attended births in three different home birth practices, learning from multiple midwives and families in the process. She has served diverse communities, including queer and trans folks, Orthodox Jews, Amish and Mennonite communities and everyone in between. Her experiences cultivated a foundation of faith and trust in the body’s innate ability to grow, birth and nurture a baby without the need for medical interventions, as well as solidified a deep respect for one’s personal autonomy.

Emmy lives in Cabot with her partner and pup and is expecting her first baby in the spring! Most days you can find her

walking in the woods with her beloved dog and being cozy in her home eating good food.
